Each episode opens with Hitchcock's instantly recognizable silhouette and the show's creepily familiar theme music. The famously contrary host fills in the audience on a detail of the episode, while poking not so subtle fun at the show's advertisers. Elements of horror, comedy, suspense and things that go bump in the night, all seasoned with a trademark Hitchcock twist, distinguish the 30-minute stories.
