Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi: Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber Version 2

The lightsaber Luke Skywalker wields in the Return of the Jedi has a complicated history. Actually a modified Obi-Wan Kenobi stunt lightsaber from A New Hope, a simplified version of this hilt was used for fight-scenes. This simpler version is also used in the close-up of Darth Vader examining Luke's lightsaber, and fans dubbed it the 'hero' version of the prop. Master Replicas engineers modelled this faithful replica directly from measurements taken from the surviving prop, and reference materials supplied from the Lucasfilm Ltd. Archives.
