The year is 2005, and the Decepticons have retaken Cybertron from Optimus Prime and his Autobot warriors. Whilst the Autobots prepare to launch an offensive to re-take their home world, the Decepticons - led by the maniacal Megatron - stage a surprise attack and decimate the Autobots' Earth base, resulting in massive casualties on both sides. However, a new enemy is on the horizon, an enemy the likes of which, no Transformer has ever seen before.
